	Texas Core Courses The 13 core courses approved by the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) are listed below. The first 3 courses are required before taking the salesperson licensing exam, and VanEd has bundled these plus mathematics and investments into our pre-licensing package. VanEd plans to offer all 13 core courses separately - please check 'Available Courses' above to see which core courses are currently being offered. Principles of Real Estate Law of Agency Law of Contracts Real Estate Mathematics Real Estate Investments Real Estate Appraisal Real Estate Law Real Estate Finance Real Estate Marketing Real Estate Brokerage Property Management Promulgated Contract Forms Residential Inspection for Real Estate Agents TREC states: "A Salesperson is required to complete a total of 18 semester (270 classroom) hours of education, at least 14 semester (210 classroom) hours of which must be core courses, by the end of their third year of licensure. This education is referred to as Salesperson Annual Education (SAE), as it is required annually with the Salesperson renewal. The Salesperson must file 2 semester (30 classroom) hours as a condition of each annual renewal. Note that the hours for the SAE may be completed at any time." Core Course Fees and Materials Our online core courses are $115 for 30 credit hours. The exact cost of each course is listed in the "Available Courses" section above. Although all necessary material to pass the course is online, VanEd provides the opportunity to obtain a textbook with most core courses. If you do not already own the textbook, you will be able to add it to your order and it will be shipped within no later than the next business day after payment. The Principles, Agency, Contracts, Investments, Mathematics, Appraisal, Law and Finance courses all use the same text, so it is necessary to purchase it only once. It is extremely helpful during the coursework and will provide an excellent reference throughout your real estate career. After passing the final exam for each course, you will have immediate online access to a printable TREC Core Course Completion Certificate.
